I'm trying to get a form, I've made with FrontPage 2003, to submit results to
a .htm file. The confirmation page displays after submitting, but I'm not
finding the results, when I open the file the results are suppose to appear
in.

I thought the problem might be that the submitted results were being sent to
the remote file on the server, and I just wasn't reverse publishing back to
the local file to view the results. But when I tried that, the problem was
still not solved.

Not sure what to do. I've searched the web and MS Knowledge Base.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Are you sure you want to send the information to a .htm file instead of a
..txt file? If not, try going to your "private" folder, rightclick, go to
"new" and create a ".txt" file. Then click on the .txt file and rename it
"form_results.txt". Rightclick in the form and click on "form properties",
then check the "send to" box and browse for the "form_results.txt" file.
After that, submit the form and go look in the "form_results.txt" file.

Hope this helps!

Correct Answer,

Go to "Form Properties", click "Options", go to "File Results", browse for
the correct .htm file name and then under "File Format" choose "Formatted
text within HTML". That will also give you the option below to save the
results in a 2nd file.

This should solve your problem.
