In our Windows 2000 AD domain, with internet access, we
have five domain controllers, about 80 win 2000 / win xp
workstations(DHCP) and two stand-alone servers(static IP).

I would like to know, are the current dns settings
correct.

PDC 1 (dns server),ip 192.168.1.4, dns 192.168.1.4

BDC 2 (dns server),ip 192.168.2.4, dns1 192.168.1.4,dns2
192.168.2.4, dns3 ISP's dns-address

BDC 3,ip 192.168.3.4, dns 192.168.1.4

BDC 4,ip 192.168.4.4, dns 192.168.1.4

BDC 5,ip 192.168.5.4, dns 192.168.1.4

stand-alone server 1, dns1 192.168.2.4, dns2
192.168.1.4,dns3 ISP's DNS-address

stand-alone server 2, dns1 192.168.2.4,dns2

Remove your ISP's DNS from all Domain members and DCs and your OK. Do not
use an ISP's DNS in any position on any member of an AD domain.
