Is it possible to configure Windows Mail so that, when viewing a newsgroup,
certain sender's posts are omitted? I want to filter out the considerable
volume of garbage posted e.g. to this n/g by a few subscribers. TIA James
:-)

Right click on the message and choose the "Junk" selection then you have
the choice you want.

Opps, sorry about my last message. It may work with Windows Mail but I
was looking at Windows - LIVE - Mail (Beta). You may want to give it a try
anyway. I like it far better for my use.

Select the message in the list then
Message menu > Junk EMail > Add sender/domain to blocked list.
Although it says e-mail it works for posts.
Its a facility I never used until I started frequenting this group but
now I have quite a long blocked list although many are aliases so to
speak.

Thanks. I got it just after I wrote that message and I am not using it.
I had been hunting around for it for the last few days and just stumbled on
it today.
