In Netscape mail under Windows XP, I can have multiple e-mail accounts listed
in the left pane. Each account will have an inbox, outbox, and as many other
folders as I wish to add for saving e-mail. I tried to set up two accounts
in Vista's Windows Mail, one for my wife and one for me, but I can only see
one inbox instead of an inbox for each of our accounts. I then tried to set
up two Windows Mail icons on the desktop, one for each of us, but they both
default to the same mail account. I assume that both her e-mail and mine
will now be dumped into the same inbox, which is unacceptible. I do not want
to have multiple user accounts in Windows Vista, with passwords just so we
can have separate e-mail accounts. How can I solve this problem? Many

You may find the Mozilla Thunderbird mail program more to your liking
since it generates a separate series of standard folders (Inbox, Trash, etc)
for each mail account.

However, you can achieve the same effect in Windows Mail with
about two minutes of work:

Create two new folders under Inbox, say His_Mail and Her_Mail.

Then create two Message Rules:

1. Where the message is from the His account
move it to the His_Mail folder
and stop processing more rules.

2. Where the message is from the Her account
move it to the Her_Mail folder
and stop processing more rules.

This is easier than it looks, because the rules wizard makes
it very easy by simply having you select from multiple choices.

The Microsoft way is to use different Windows User Profiles. There is also
