I recently received a GPS tracking device. The device allows data to be
downloaded to my laptop. However, the cord the connects my GPS to my lap top
is the large pronged connector. It connects into the port with the printer
picture underneath it. The GPS software does not recognize the device.... I
think it is because I am plugging into the printer port???

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Do I need to reconfigure the
port??? If so, how do I do that??

I would like to try to avoid buying the USB converstion cord. Thanks.

Unless you have installed this type of tracking device a few times, you
will need to read the GPS instructions carefully to get this working.
