Configure Outlook for Microsoft Exchange

Hi
I have installed Outlook 2007 on my PC at home but need to access the works email. I need help in what I am told is manualay configuring the email.

Since you didn't mention what version of Exchange is being used at work
and/or whether or not work supports to Exchange with RPC over HTTPS (aka
OutlookAnywhere), requires a VPN connection to work, .etc, you really should
be working back thru your employeers IT department. If they do support it,
they can supply you with a preference file (.PRF) that will help you
configure an Outlook profile or at the very least instructions on how to
configure your mail client.

If they do you give you a .PRF file, then you just run this command one
time...

Start > Run
Type: outlook.exe /importprf "c:\location\to\filename.prf"
OK button

Exchange server is 2007 Office is 2007 and I do use VPN. I can access sqlserver 2005 on the server no problems. I don't know what buttons to click in Outlook to get there.

tools/email accounts/new account/exchange server/enter the name of your
exchange server and your name.

Or better yet, VPN in first and then setup the Outlook profile thru the mail
applet in the control panel. If you are a screenshot type of person...
