Does anyone have any suggestions on how to configure network on different IP
environment? For example, I need to carry my notebook between 2 offices with
different IP setting. I don't want to change IP everytime as I visit
different office. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this
situation?
Let assume there is only one Lan card available

You manually change IP?

Enable DHCP

Multi Network Manager (around $30) worked well when I used it in the past.

For only two locations, then yes, you might be able to use
'Alternate Configuration' with manually configured IP properties
to connect to the router in the office you are in least. That
'Alternate Configuration' tab is visible if you can/are using
'Obtain an IP address automatically' to connect to the router in
the first/primary/default office.

All this under Control Panel : Network Connections : 'LAN
Card'(Properties) : General : {select}Internet Protocol (TCP/IP):
[Properties]

I'm not sure exactly how long the timeout is before it switches
to the alternate configuration ... something like 30-60 seconds
.... or if that can be changed .. but it is a workable setup i've
used.

comfortable to change it by himself between 2 locations. Do you have any
more suggestions ?

Of course you have to change/configure things to set things up.
And you have to use a static IP for the 'Alternate Configuration'
as you can see for yourself. But once the setup is done you don't
have to change the IP manually anymore in the daily use.

I don't know 'who is the boss of you' or how the networks in your
offices are configured and managed, but if your 'manager' allows
it and are just to uncomfortable/lazy/whatever to add a static
IP-number for your machine on the 'alternate router' he could
give you an IP-number in the upper range that that routers
DHCP-server serves to use as a static value on your machine .. an
IP-number not normally assigned to other users, or reserved for
some other purpose.
