Hi Everyone,

I have a network which is connected to a DSL router, it is
also configured as a DHCP server and connects all the W2K
Prof. desktops to the internet. Now, I want to setup a
Windows 2000 Server (Domain Controller) to authenticate all
the clients on the network and to use the domain to logon,
& to use the internet. Does anyone know how should I
configure the W2K server. Would appreciate your help.

See the KB link below for details on two ways to do it. You can configure your AD dc
to use root hints if you do not have a "." root zone in your dns configuration or
forward to the ISP dns servers. If you can not configure a forwarder, then you will
have to first delete the "." root zone. --- Steve
