how do i configure a add button & code to do the following save data to a

record the macro, edit it to suit taste, assign to what ever button you
create.

Alt+F11 opens the VB editor.

its once i am in the vb editor & I have the module open i don't know what to
do as putting in the strings/paths

The location that you recorded, can be edited to reflect where you want
it to go. If you don't know the path, then you will need to decide where
this is going first.

i know that i may sound a bit thick when trying to set i t up but i never
used macros to do this before, i want t save the data to another worksheet in
the same work book

You want to copy one worksheet to another in the same workbook? Perhaps
starting over in a new thread and describing exactly what it is you want
to accomplish will result in a working solution. Currently the
description is vague and pretty confusing.
