Configuration erased at each startup

I just reinstalled outlook (& all of office) after having to do a recovery. I
went throught the configuration (via the startup wizard, but a manual
config). Every time I shut Outlook down and then later restart it, the
configuration is wiped - I get the wizard again and have to go through the
whole da## process again. I cannot do anything in Outlook at all until I go
through this process yet again.

Any ideas about what might be going on???

Thanking you all in advance!
