if you have 2007. click on b1 or c1; which ever you are trying to format.
click conditional formatting then new rule. Then click on "format only cells
that contain",
then click the drop down menu and select great than or less than, then click
the other cell, either b1 or c1; depending on what you started with. format
the cell the way you want. make sure that none of the cell values are locked.
(e.i. $B$1, make sure it reads B1). Then click on the cell you formatted.
then click on conditional formatting and select manage rules. Then click
inside the box on the right and select the desired cells that you wish to
format.
