Hello,

It seems that I can't install the C128IR ISDN modem in a windows 2000
machine. I already tryed in different motherboards, but still the same
thing.

I have 4 of these, which were all in use with Win 98, but after the upgrade,
then simply didn't work anymore.

Here is the problem:

While installing the modem, windows recognise the drivers (both of them, the
CD and the downloaded one) and proceeds with installation, but when
"installing the software that supports the hardware" (my translation from
the portuguese win 2000 version) I get an error saying "a problem occured
while installing the device" and "unable to find a selected driver to the
device set" (once again my translation).

Does anyone have an idea for this? Did this happen to anyone else?

Thanks,

Rui Patinha

I find no W2000 reference at the Tulip (Centronic) website for the
C128I(R) device, which appears to have support for WinME/98/XP. Your
problem is probably with a driver not designed for W2000, and only by
calling them can you find whether they have written one. You can try
their tip for XP users, but there is no guarantee it will help.
