Computers lose connection after AD upgrade

I just migrated from NT to 2K AD. I noticed that when I restarted one of the
routers for a second, workstations could not connect to the network and they
had to reboot to connect. Is that normal?
I have AD and DNS on one server and DHCP and WINS on another server.
