Hi there,

I put my computer in to hibernation last night, and today I haven't been
able to restart it. There's a red light constantly displayed on the front of
the box, and pressing the start, reset, or even turning off the power and
trying to start it do nothing. It's as dead as a dodo! The screen doesn't
even come out of sleep mode.

PC is windows XP SP2, Intel 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4. Recent changes include a MS
wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. Also plugged in when it was
hibernated was a USB external hard drive.

Actually, I've just solved it!! Had a wild and crazy thought just before
posting this!

For the record, here's my fix.

I turned power off (again), and pulled out every single cable from the box.
Plugged in just the power cord, and when turning the power back on, the red
light is off, and. voila, it's just started up at the press of the start
button! I've killed it again, plugged in the rest of the cables, and it's
resumed on the press of the start button!

Yeah!

Cheers,

Christo
