My computer is slowing up, can you tell me what processes
I can stop working in the background. I am operating
windows Xp 256 Ram.

Are you sure it's the processes that are slowing your computer?

Perhaps your computer is infected with a virus, or spyware? Perhaps you have
too many programs running at the same time? Perhaps 256MB of RAM is not
sufficient for the work you want your computer to do? Perhaps you need to
perform normal maintenance on your computer?

Without knowing which processes you have running, it's hard to say which
ones aren't necessary. And even at that, what I consider "not necessary"
might be something that you need or want.

My first suggestion, though, would be to check for spyware; lately that's
been a big factor in slowing computers.
