I am using windows xp. I constantly get the message Virtual memory low. I
have cleaned my disk, defragmented and read all the posts, I can manage fine
but when my son goes on bebo it really slows down and freezes. I hope someone
can help.

Click Start>>Run
Type msconfig and press enter
from the services tab, enable "Hide Microsoft services"
uncheck all services that are not related to Microsoft or Antivirus
goto startup tab, click disable all or uncheck entries that are not related
with antivirus

Click apply and then click ok to close msconfig.

Before rebooting open Internet explorer
from Tools menu in IE, click "Delete browsing history", in the small window
shown, click "delete all"

Open Internet options from Internet explorer>>tools menu
Goto advance tab and click reset.

Reboot the system and check system performance.

Gurpreet Singh,
Thank you for the helpful information and the quick reply. I did not delete
everything as I was scared I would lose my passwords but I deleted the
browsing history. I cant believe how fast my computer is now.

Thank you,
starlight

Hi Gurpreet,

I have a problem since I cleaned up the computer. My son had a program
installed, there was a shortcut on our desktop. When he clicks on it, it wont
open. I checked the add & remove section and it is still there. What can I do
to get access to it again. I hope you can help.
