my computer keeps shutting itself down after about 10 mins
of power. I thought it was the lack of memory but after
formatting the C drive, the problem still occurs. Any
solutions?

It sounds like you may have the blaster worm. You can download a tool to
check for it and if found remove it here:

You should also go to Windows Update immediately and download any critical
security patches listed there. I also recommend turning on the internet
firewall if you have not already (or any other firewall you happen to have.)

What kind of Computer (Desktop? Laptop?)
Did you check: BIOS - Power Options (or something similar)...
Going hot? (e.g. dust in the ventilator, ...)
