One of my contacts informs me that she is now shutting her computer down at
night, however, I've noticed that her "away message", i.e., fixing dinner -
whatever -is still showing up on my computer. How is this possible? My
guess is she's not really shutting her system down. Any comments? Thanks!

Greetings Tanya,

This is normal, both a contacts' personal message and display name is retained when they go
offline.

So if they show as offline, they're offline.
