Hello Group, I recently had a HDD crash and am slowly putting together a new
computer. Installed a copy of Win XP Pro Sp1 only.

Here is the problem that I have:

The main computer screen is divided for some reason and I cna't figure out
how to turn something OFF..!

For some reason, the computer screen is divided... 3\4 of the screen is my
background pic. The remaining 1\4 is a white background that has the
following on it...

_________________
Folder Tasks

Other Places

Details
___________________
As mentioned... it is a solod white bar going from the bottom to the top of
the screen - always being on the left side of the screen.

It's looks like something that MS has come up with, but I can't seem to get
rid of it...!

Any Ideas...!

Those are called the common tasks. Run the edit on Kelly's site:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Line 15: Remove Common Tasks from the Desktop

See the top of the page for info on running the edit.
