Computer Reboots while copying data from dvd to HDD

I try to copy some data from DVD backup dvd's to my HDD. I use the drag and
drop feature of exporer. Regardless if i use the PX-130A DVD-ROM device or
the PX-740A DVD-RW device and regardless the dvd i instert into it the copy
starts and after a while the system reboots whith no error message or
somethnig
Can someone help?
My system is a Pentium D 3.2 GHz CPU, 2GB RAM and 4X320 GB HDD or Raid 0
with a NVIDIA GeForce 6600 display adapter.

Could be a marginal power supply. A hardware group might
be able to assist you with this one.

You might start with trying to prevent the automatic restart. Right-click
My Computer, choose Properties, Advanced, Startup and Shutdown, de-select
Automatically Restart.

This will *not* fix the problem, but if it is a crash rather than a reaction
to a power interruption, you'll see a potentially helpful error message.

Drag and drop is a move function not a copy function.
