Computer reboots

Recently my computer reboots and I get "System Has Recovered from a Serious
Error" message. I finally realized this is happening when Windows Defender
does a scheduled scan. The some thing happens when I scan with Spybot
Search and Destroy and when I do an online scan at bitdefender.com. I am
able to do a virus scan with AVG Free without it happening and it finds no
viruses.

I did a hijackthis scan and didn't come up with anything suspicious.

Here is the latest error report from the system log.

Date: 5/11/2007 Source: System Error

Time: 11:05:01 AM Category (102)

Type : Error Event lD: 1003

Description:
Error code 1000008e, parameterl c0000005, parameter2 bf80614e,
parameter3 b951c4f4, parameter4 00000000.

Can anyone suggest anything to try to correct this problem?

I forgot to mention...I did a memory test with memtest86, no bad memory
found.

Thank you. I already have that update. I think I have determined that the
problem is caused by CPU overheating. I will install a new CPU fan and see
if that helps. See:
