I have a 400 series notebook and when i was watching a movie on it all of a
sudden it shut off and smke rolled out he back and now when you go to turn it
on it wont right away itll try but you have to keep pushing the power button
again and again to get the hard drive to spin fast enough for it to kick in
by it self and then itll turn on , im guessing that it might be the hard
drive but not sure, its as if when you push the power button it shorts it
self out.

Bring it to a computer repair specialist before you damage it any further.

could be your power supply connecter on your laptop, I would bring it to
your local computer shop
