I got this computer a year ago. I had a version of
windows xp i baught on it and i decided to get a new hard
drive. After puting a fresh copy of windows xp on the
same computer i can no longer hibernate, and i cannot
enable it microsoft says "if the enable hibernate tab is
not available, your hardware does not support it" but it
always used to be able to hibernate, never had any
problems before just a new hard drive, any suggestions?
thanks

Please check the following and post the results:
Click start and then right click on my computer.
Chose properties.
On the properties box choose hardware.
Then click on the device manager button.
Once the device manager opens click on the plus sign beside the heading "Computer".
What does it say there?
