Hello,
I get this message while trying to access the "Computer Name" tab in "System
Properties": The following error occurred while attempting to read domain
membership information. Access is denied.
I am logged in under local administrator for the computer which is Windows
XP PRO SP2. The domain level function running in Windows Server 2003.
When I click on the error I can get to the "Computer Name" tab but where the
domain is it states: *Unknown*
I have tried removing the computer from the domain but I get the "Access is
Denied" error. I have even been able to logon as the Domain Administrator
which is in the administrators group. This happens a few seconds after the
compute boots up completely. I am able to open the computer name tab on
system properties right after the computer boots up but then after a several
seconds that option is gone as if I was logged on as a quest account.
