Computer name and Logon window

1. I swapped computers with my daughter. How can I change
the name of the computer? i.e. When I shut down, the
computer says "Shutting down xxxx's computer."

2. My daughter was on a network at school. The computer
is no longer on a network. How do I delete the Network
log on window that comes up during start up?
