Why can't I access any of the administrative tools even
when logged in as administrator? I receive an error
message that says "windows cannot access the specified
device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate
permissions to access the item." I can't into the
security sections to see what permisions the administrator
has! This is a new installation, not upgrade.

XP Home or XP Pro?

If you search the \Windows\System32 directory for .msc
files, how many do you find?
