computer management problem

hi all,

my removable storage devices stopped working a short time ago and i
could not find out why as there are no error messages. after digging
thru the computer management>storage>removable storage>physical
locations area i found that the devices are all x'd out and i can't
change them.

can anyone tell me how to do this? i am running Win2K sp4.

Check the event log for errors.
