The last time I picked up PC Magazine it was mostly fluff. Isn't
SmartComputing of PC World not so naive and for beginners?

They are all "fluff" these days... I don't know how they survive.

Visit them online to get what you want.

There's always Windows XP Magazine, Windows Vista
Magazine, and CPU (Computer Power User) Magazine.

Having worked 20 years in the IT field...over the last few years or so, I've
found CPU (Computer Power User) to be thoroughly enjoyable reading. Not
naive, and definitely not for beginners. I'd suggest you pick up a copy.
I'd be surprised if you don't become a regular subscriber. Only problem is,
this one isn't carried in most of the magazine racks. You might have to
visit a large book store (Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc) to find a hardcopy
in a retail setting. Or you can always order one online, of course. -Dave
