I received the advice to "Reduce the graphic acceleration
of your card." in order to attempt to solve the locking up
problem. What does this mean and How do I do it?

Right click on the Desktop, select properties/Settings in the Advance tab
settings you should have a means of reducing it. I know I do have it with
mine.
