I'm not a computer expert at all!!! Help
Computer turns itself off after about 5 mins it also happens when the printers turned on immediately.
Had the thing mended last year with a new motherboard, but hasn't been right since, driving us all insane. Any help appreciated, trying to fix the thing without it costing an arm and a leg!!!

Does the computer shut down, beep, suddenly switch off or anything else like that? We'll need as many details as possible to help

the screen goes a little brighter and then just shuts down. Sometimes it stays on longer than others, 10 mins or very quickly then if the printer is turned on then it shuts down straight away. thanks for your help in this matter.

Could even be the settings in the BIOS about power management that might be the cause of your problem ??

Your talking to a complete novice here....sorry, but we have just gone to the dreaded computer, turned it on, went to Home Office Desk, then minimal power management, box says "turn off after 15mins", we changed this to NEVER, then save as, then a box came up saying "INDICATES TWO REVISION LEVELS ARE INCOMPATIBLE......." WHERE DOES ONE GO FROM HERE!!!!
