Hi, I just got a new labtop yesterday and i'm already
having problems with it. A window keeps on coming up that
says that windows is going to shut down, and it is
directed by NT authority\system. It said that the
Remoteprcedure call service has terminated unexpectedly.
It gives me a 60 second countdown before the computer is
going to shut down. I just want to know if there is
anything that I can do to fix it, and what is actually
wrong when this message pops up, if anyone can help me
with this I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so
much for your time!!

You have the Blaster virus. You need to stop the shutdown
problem first. As soon as the window pops up, open your
run command and execute this command " shutdown -a ".
Now you can browse the internet and download a program
from Symantec to remove this virus and then it will ask
you to apply a patch from Microsoft. Do this. Update your
windows and office and your anti-virus software also.

Harry
You only need to ask and you shall recieve!

Greetings,

I'm in full agreement with Harry.

Also, when you've finished doing as he says, download a
firewall package - that worm comes in on a unprotected
port 135.

You said that you just got this laptop - from where? If it
came like this...!!

More likely, you don't have AV/firewall packages - do get
them! No-one should surf the internet without them.

Kindest regards,

James
