I have Window XP home ed. w/SP2 pack. and i say this problem i'm having has
been going on for almost a month now but it seems to be getting worse.
Computer freezes up. First started when i search the web but now i can be
going into places like control panel, etc. etc. and it will freezes up, I
lose all functions of the mouse and the only way is to hit the power reset
button to release it. I'm done almost everything to try to resolve this issue
scaned for viruses found nothing, checked for spyware and adware nothing. So
i download this utility called SIS Sandra to diagnose my computer and I found
out that a few things needed updated like for instance my BIOS, my sound card
as well but when i tried to do that thru microsoft i get the update driver
but once I do. It tells me I have no audio. I lose all sound. My audio sound
card is by VIA technogolies but my mainboard/motherboard is by AZZA.. I've
visited both websites to maybe get them for there but no success. My system
model is a VT-8601, my M/B model is a 601-686A. My current BIOS is 6A64P89C.
and the chipset for my system is VIA VT-82C694A Apollo Pro 133. I believe my
freezing up is a hardware problem. My question is could Those be the reason
way my computer keeps freezing up.. BIOS needed update because my computer is
3 yrs old. and my sound card ? I'm at a lost. But the freezing up is becoming
very annoying could anyone please help me with this please !!!!
