Today I turned on my XP and it started beeping. The beeping quit. I didn't
see anything on the monitor. I looked at the light on the power putton. I
didn't see a light. The fan and everything else SEEMS to be running. A few
months ago it did this. Then about 2-3 later I plugged back in the power
supply (I had taken it out). If you could please help me with this. All help
will be much appreciated!

Note: It is running XP Pro but is an old machine (6-8 years old).

Turn it off.
Unplug all external devices (keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner, power
cables, etc) and then plug it all back in.
Power it on.

Where is the beeping coming from? The box itself or your speakers?

Can you describe what kind of beeps you are talking about?

Examples
3 short, 3 long, 3 short
constant beeping
1 Long, 3 Short
1,1,4
and so on.
