I just got a new (refurbished) Dell Inspiron 5500 with
Windows XP, which in part of my home wireless network.
After using for a day or so, I went to use again and got
the message "this computer is in use and has been
locked". I get a dialog box asking me for user name and
password, which I never set up. The keyboard is locked so
that I can't even try to enter anything in the dialog
box. Any ideas? Thanks.

You should be able to <ALT><CTL><DEL> and enter your Logon/Password to get
you going again. If not, you will need to contact Dell for support.
