I have a bizzare problem. When ever my roomate turns on or restarts his computer my
computer on the same network crashes then restarts. No warning just a black screen
and everything restarts. We both are using windows xp home edition and are using a
d-link router to share a dsl line. Anyone smart out there know how to fix this?

>have you tried reinstalling network connections?
have you tried the option of a wireless network?
have you tried a different dsl cord and a different power
cord?
as funny as it sounds, when your friend turns off his
computer there may be a power surge through the dsl cable
shutting down your computer also. try a new power cable
on each computer and maybe even a new powerbox in your
friend's computer.
