Computer Hangs up on startup when life cam attached

When I start up the computer with the life cam attached in the rear USB port
the computer will hang up and niether the keyboard or the front start switch
responds to allow a reboot. If I turn the rear power switch off and disconect
the life cam from the rear USB port and select "last working setup" the
computer boots up and works fine. I can then reconnect the lifecam to the USB
port and it works fine as does the computer. It doesn't appear to matter what
USB port the lifecam is in it causes the same problem on startup. I am
running Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2002 Service Pack 2 and a Lifecam VX
1000. Any comments would be appreciated.

THKS Denny
