Computer hang

's Computer Specifications

Hi,
I need some help with one new computer i have :-(

I have an external HD and it works when i connect the drive to the USB,
but as soon as i shall open any files on the External HD the computer
hangs. I have tried the USB extetrnal drive in other computers and then
the drive is working fine.

Anyone HELP, getting desperate here :-(

Maybe your power supply can't handle the extra watts required? Being new has
nothing to do with it. Have you tried different USB ports?
