My Win XP machine occasionally hangs ever since I networked the machine with
my Win98SE machine. According to the Application Log in the Event Viewer,
IE is the application that often hangs...thought not always. The System Log
shows:
"The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer
LAMAR2 that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on
transport NetBT_Tcpip_{C2DB5507-06CF-435C-8F. The master browser is stopping
or an election is being forced."
What is going on? Is there anyway to fix this? It's very annoying as the
only way to use the XP machine is to cycle the power and reboot.
Thanks.
