When computer goes on stand by mode I have probems with Windows internet
explorer getting back on the web.

I have windows XP and upgraded the Windows internet to current version.

What happens now is as follows:
I leave computer on then come back when computer is on standby. If I click
on Windows Internet Explorer it will open and I am able to see the tab for my
home page but the tab arrow that tells me it is looking for my home page does
not turn. The page just stays blank.

I then rebot the computer and after it comes back on I can open explorer and
I am able to bring up my home page.

Would like to find a way so that I do not have to reboot every time computer
goes on standby.
Is there a solution?

Clear out all your temp files. Run 'disk cleanup'.
