I have windows xp home edition and recently it has just
started to completly freeze and I have trouble restarting
the system with reset, it will freeze on start up. It
also just stops sometimes and the monitor goes completly
blank.

I have tried virus scanning with the latest updates, I
have not installed any new software/hardware and don't
have any error messages to go on so I don't know where to
go from here??

Can anybody help with this???

Paul, I would take a look at the Power Supply. Use Motherboard Monitor to
check your Voltages.

I've been fighting this for 3 weeks. Just found Microsoft KB Article #
314503. Haven't tried it yet but will post back after I do.
