Should be no problem *THIS* time. the next time you have to reinstall, you
won't have a qualifying previous version of windows.
Make sure you have all the Windows XP drivers for all of your hardware
"BEFORE" doing the upgrade. Windows does not have drivers for your
hardware, other than perhaps generic ones. Check the website of the laptop
manufacturer for drivers and also check to see if a BIOS upgrade is
necessary for the upgrade.
