This just started happening, when I put the computer in standby mode at the
end of the day, the next morning when I go to use it, as soon as I touch the
mouse it cuts off. I then have to cut it on with the switch on front of the
CPU, what gives?

Thanks for any help.

Don't use standby/hibernate. It slows your computer by taking up
system resources all day long. Just shut down instead, and turn
hibernation off.

You're post is unclear. What do you mean "it cuts off", when I touch the
mouse? What does "cut it on with the switch" mean.? What's the history of
this issue? Did things ever work right? What changed between the time it
worked and when it didn't? Review this link about how to make a good
newsgroup post and resubmit with more info.

I don't understand what you mean. Just because the system is set to go into
hibernation or standby after a period of time, doesn't affect how it runs
when not in those modes.

But you haven't answered the questions. What you mean by "it cuts off" when
I touch the mouse? What does "cut it on with the switch" mean?

Did you review that link on how to make a good newsgroup post?

You might consider contacting a competent local computer repair person to
take a look at the machine.
