After installing SP2 my computer has on 4 occasions (in one week) shut down
and re-booted automatically while I was on the Internet. I run XP and use
I.E. This has only happened while I'm on the web. Any suggestions? Thx.

Right-click My Computer and select Properties, then the Advanced tab, then
the Settings button for startup and recovery options. Turn off the option
to automatically reboot in the event of an error. Then see if there is an
error that precedes the reboot.

Hi.
Don't use IE. Use FireFox. FireFox is way more reliable.

Shawn.

Cheryl,

one possibility is a driver problem. I would update at least the
network adapter drivers to the latest version.

Another possibility is spyware or virus infection.

Please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm for
details.

I may not be able to reply here again until Monday.

Hans-Georg
