When I try to capture my video in avi format my computer
chrashes/reboots/restarts as soon as I click on the start
capture button. When I let MM2 choose the format for
capturing best suited to my computer I am able to get a
few minutes of footage onto the computer before my
computer shuts down. I have tried more memory,
reformatting to factory settings, SP1 and still no luck.
Any ideas out there?

BTW, I removed divx and now my computer will capture a
minute or two of avi footage before crashing and
restarting. Hmmmm.

I bought a new firewire card and mm2 works perfectly now.
