computer crashes and shut down unproperly..!!

i'm a current user of a loptop which i bought 5 months ago. NOwadays, this laptop keeps shutting down whenever i'm using a heavy program (for example windows media player). This have been happening so frequently and is so annoying. i have reformatted my laptop but this problem still goes on. what should i do? is it a hardware problem? please help!! i'm so sick of it!

No sound when I start up my computer and when I shut it down I have to go to restart to start up the computer, then when it comes up I go down to start snd shut down mode then it will shut itself off.
