I have had this happen before but today finally noticed a specific web site was causing it. Cant remember what site(s) I was visiting before when the same thing happened, otherwise I'd go back and look for something similar between them. Bottom line is my computer shuts down and goes into "restart" mode. Since I tried three times (and it did the same thing), I know it wasn't a fluke. The URL that zaps me is
www.benedict.com/Digital/usenet/usenet.aspx (I am doing some research for a minor debate I'm having with someone). Benedict.com is the first item in list when type "Copyright" into Google.com search engine. I turned off Norton Internet Security and Anti-Virus on last visit to rule out that it was interfering or conflicting with code on the page and it still "re-booted" me. I visited from my laptop with W98 SE/IE 6 and didn't have any problems. Its an XP/Explorer thing. Is there a patch or update I may have missed or still need to get? I'm leaning towards that, or maybe I have something wrong in my Internet Options Advanced setup that messes with aspx files. The only thing is it was THAT page...there are other aspx pages at that site that didn't "re-boot" me. Any help, suggestions, or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me as well as post (to ensure others with same problem get the info also) if you know for a fact you have the answer. This is my first time using this newgroup so might take me a bit to figure out how to navigate back to my thread haha. Thanks....- Fengshui
