My computer keeps crashing after being on for 5 to 8 mins. I have plenty of
memory. I was told it could be my water cooler has packup, but my computer is
not hot. XP Windows home.

Hardware more than likely if there is nothing in the Windows Event Log.
Does it do this even in Safe Mode?
Does it do this if you just turn on the computer and go into/sit in the
BIOS?

Is your computer a Desktop or a Laptop?

If a computer suffers a System Failure (aka crash) a Stop Error ( aka
BSOD) Report is generated. You need to post a copy of that report.

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Right click on
the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select Properties, Advanced,
Start-Up and Recovery, System Failure and uncheck box before
Automatically Restart.

Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure until you have
resolved the problem. Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

Hope this helps.
