IE version? Is this a sudden, new problem or an ongoing one? Have you
tried reinstalling the modem? Do instant messengers and your Mail Client
connect?

IE 6, New problem, after storms in Chicago, I used to use the Ethernet
connect, and now use USB and loaded the new drivers today. I have not tried
reinstalling modem. I cannot get on the Internet at all. I do not instant
message and get my mail from Comcast, not outlook etc.

Why aren't you still using Ethernet (though USB should work)? Was
connecting via USB OK before you installed the new drivers? From where did
you download/install the new drivers?

I'm quite sure the cards in my computers were toasted in the storm, so the
comcast service guy used the USB. I'm on that computer now. But my laptop,
that always worked and was not here when the storms hit, now will not work,
that's the computer I wish help with. I downloaded the drivers from Comcast.

Are you connecting to the modem via a router, Tony?

Have you tried connecting the laptop via Ethernet instead of USB?

Have you tried rolling back to USB drivers you downloaded from Comcast?
