Whenever I use Msconfig - and uncheck a few items - and click apply - message
- access denied - yet when I check at next log in - the items are unchecked.
I am the only person using this computer - the guest account is off.

Thanks for the flip reply - all I did was ask a question - as to why the
error message - I thought this forum was to help people not make "fun" of
them.

No "fun" intended. Newsgroups are for all types of comments good or bad
ones. Yours was somewhat out of the ordinary, thus the response. If you
have a problem post it.

Then I am not quite sure to post this problem - you could have been of some
help.

The reason you got the "Access is Denied" error message is that the
app you were trying to uncheck/disable in MSCONFIG was active. When
you rebooted it became inactive and disabled the app and all was well
after the reboot. Clear?
