Is it beneficial to check the box on the properties on
the c drive marked "Compress contents to save disk space"
will that improve my computers performance?

If you are running low on disk space you can use it, but I would not. The
computer has to uncompress any file that you open that has been compressed.

Thank you. I am not running out of disk space as of yet,
but the window updates take up alot.
